The view today is definitely brighter, not in weather, but definitely in terms of the planning process.

I had an appointment with fantastic oncologist, Dr Shane Cullis, today to get the time line established for finishing my treatment and having my final scan and then getting my port removed. I want to get the port removed prior to my last treatment otherwise it will delay our departure. I am going to have my scan on 28 March (the day before my penultimate treatment) and then we can proceed with port removal and the countdown can begin!!!!

We have been busy looking at finalising flights and buying bicycles – yes we have found our trusty steeds that will be our main mode of transport during our travels.

Today as we celebrate Ivan’s 61st birthday we realise that in 3 months we will be in Hanoi!!!
